It appears a lot of French Jews, worried about their children's future, are getting the hell out of Dodge and moving to SE Florida.
I saw one of our native sons with an "Israel for Kerry" bumpersticker in Hebrew stuck on his t-shirt. Yeah, a whole bumpersticker. I know him. He's a bum who doesn't own a car on which to stick the thing. So, sartorial mystery solved. I'm still trying to figure out why he'd think a guy as wishy-washy as Kerry would be a better choice in regards to Israel. Anybody know?
Because he's crazy?
Posted by: robin at October 10, 2004 06:05 PMYeah, but somebody printed up the bumperstickers. Must be more than just him that think that way.
Posted by: Donnah at October 10, 2004 06:07 PMJudging from what the Jerusalem Post prints, the majority of Israelis are fairly pro-Bush. On the other hand, for someone to be pro-Kerry about Israel, it's a hell of a lot easier to do in Florida than in Jerusalem, where the enthusiasm for Kerry-style affectiion for the U.N. fades out pretty quick, since the U.N. basically just wants Israel to go away and stop annoying all those nice, peace-loving Arab states.
I'm impressed you read Hebrew!
Posted by: xire138 at October 11, 2004 12:22 AMI don't! I was sitting with my friend who is from Israel when the guy came in.
She doesn't think Kerry is a good idea for Israel either.
My Israeli friend thought your comment very astute, xire.
Posted by: Donnah at October 12, 2004 02:35 PMHe doesn't think. He evidently can't. Poor, bumperless moron.
